About Us

Where Legal Brilliance meets medical expertise

From healing hands to legal minds

Our founding partner started his career in the field of medicine, having completed rotations through paediatrics, obstetrics, radiology, and neurology. He studied medical terminology and gained in-depth knowledge about a variety of medical procedures, as well as the ways in which they could go wrong. Following his completion of medical school, he decided to take what he learned to fight on behalf of injured patients. Now he only practices law and only represents the injured.

We believe we have the finest background and training to advocate for our clients, which has assisted us in obtaining record verdict and settlements throughout the country. Unlike solo-practitioners, we roundtable all cases among our lawyers with advanced degrees to determine the most effective approach to present your case in court. At Gershon, Willoughby and Getz our lawyers are trial lawyers and trying medical negligence cases is all we do. Your case will stay in the best possible hands from the beginning until the final settlement or the jury’s verdict.

We are there for the biggest injustices in our healthcare system

When following a Medical Malpractice case, our goal is to have a satisfied client. Cases that go through trial are hard fought battles with much hanging in the balance both emotionally and financially. For this reason, we have to be selective regarding the types of cases we can represent, especially as we take on clients free of charge until the final verdict is ruled in their favor. Here are the kinds of cases we take on:

Medical malpractice

Birth injuries

Wrongful death

Fatal prescription errors

Brain damage & injury

Delayed diagnosis

Anesthesia errors

Nursing home neglect & abuse

Critical surgical errors

We have found that because the damages are smaller, yet expensive to litigate, certain clients will not receive ample compensation to justify a lengthy, difficult legal battle. To avoid such poor results, these are some examples of cases we do not handle:

Non-permanent injury cases

Dental malpractice

Plastic surgery cases
